Getting around#

Maharana Pratap Airport at Dabok is about 22 km from the city centre, and Udaipur City railway station connects to Jaipur, Delhi and Ahmedabad. Within the city, auto-rickshaws and app cabs are the easiest way to move around.

Things to check before you buy#

  • Approvals from the Udaipur Urban Improvement Trust or the relevant authority.
  • Restrictions on construction height and use near the lakes and the old city.
  • Water supply and drainage, which can differ widely between areas.
  • Rental demand: tourism supports short stays, while students and professionals drive long-term rentals.
